How to Play

Quiz Rules

Every new game begins with three lives and a score of zero. A correct answer allows you to continue without losing a life. A wrong answer removes one life, resets your scoring streak, and reveals the correct choice.

Letting the timer expire has the same effect as choosing an incorrect answer: you lose one life, receive no points, and see the correct answer before continuing.

There is no penalty for using the pause control. If you switch to another browser tab or move away from the game during an active question, the quiz pauses automatically. This prevents the hidden page from using up your question time unfairly. You must resume the game when you return.

You cannot pause after an answer has already been submitted while the result is being displayed. The next question begins after the feedback period.

Every correct response begins with 100 base points. Wrong answers and timeouts award no points.

Speed Bonus

This creates a useful trade-off. A quick answer may score more, but rushing into an avoidable mistake costs a life and breaks your streak.

Level Bonus

Questions in later levels award an additional difficulty bonus. Correct answers in Level 2 receive 25 extra points, while correct answers in Level 3 receive 50 extra points.

Streak Bonus

Consecutive correct answers build a streak bonus. After your first correct answer, each further correct response adds another 20 streak points, up to a maximum streak bonus of 100 points per question.

A wrong answer or timeout resets the streak. Maintaining accuracy across several questions can therefore make a meaningful difference to the final score.

Levels, Timers, and Lives

The quiz becomes more demanding across three levels.

Level 1 includes questions from the opening difficulty group. You have 15 seconds to answer each one, giving you time to read all four choices carefully.

Level 2 begins with question five. The subject mix remains varied, but the questions become moderately more challenging and the timer drops to 12 seconds.

Level 3 covers the final four questions. These use the hardest group in the game, and you have only 9 seconds for each answer.

Your three lives apply across the whole quiz; they do not refresh when you reach a new level. Reaching the final questions with lives remaining is therefore as important as building an early score.
